Decent, but delivery took a while
I ordered the Chef John Special Roll and some Edamame for delivery last night. The roll itself was tasty, pretty creative and fresh. The edamame was standard, nothing wrong with it. My main gripe was the delivery time; it said 45-60 minutes, but it took closer to 80 minutes to reach my place in Whittier. The food was still warm enough, but that wait was a bit long. Customer service was fine when I called to check, but no real apology for the delay. Overall, the food is good, but they could definitely improve on their delivery estimates.
Good value on my first order
I was looking for some good sushi that wouldn't break the bank and decided to try Esushi since they had a first-order discount. I got the Spicy Tuna Roll and some Gyoza. The discount made a noticeable difference, saving me about 15% on my total which was nice. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. For the price I paid, it felt like a really good deal. Consistently good quality
I've been ordering from Esushi for a while now, mostly for pickup. This last time I got a Rainbow Roll and some Baked Mussels. Just like my previous orders, the quality was consistent. The fish always tastes fresh, and the rolls are put together well. I keep coming back because I know what to expect, and they rarely disappoint. Never had an issue with an order, which is why they're my go-to for sushi in the area. It's reliable.
